Michelle H. Wietbrock Internship Program
Internship Program Description
The mission of the Michelle H. Wietbrock Internship Program in Wabash Township, Tippecanoe County, IN is to offer an opportunity to learn and observe the operations and procedures of local governance. Interns will work first-hand with community members, township leadership, and elected officials to facilitate administrative operations including community outreach, assistance, and facility operations.
This is a paid internship based upon the core belief that gaining knowledge and experience should not be based upon your ability to work for free, and that the model of unpaid work creates barriers to opportunities as well as systemic inequality.
Interns should expect to enjoy working with members of the public and other office staff on a regular basis. They should also embody a helpful spirit while willing to go the extra mile to serve the community.
